The AniMate weekly drama clubs are starting again this October!
At the AniMate weekly drama club, puppetry is not simply a technique – it is much more about play, experimentation, discovery and creating together. We warmly welcome anyone who would like to become part of an inspiring community and explore their own stories, ideas and ways of expression through playing with puppets and objects.
This year, we are once again offering groups for three different age ranges. This year, applications are open for the Kids and Young adult groups.

KIDS
Puppet-making and Creative Workshop for ages 6–10
In the youngest group, play and discovery take centre stage. We experiment with puppets, objects, movement and stories, while discovering together just how much can be created with a simple object or a figure of our own making.
When: From 5 October, every Monday, 16:30–18:00
Venue: Kemény Henrik Stage
Led by: Zoltán Hannus and Blanka Hirmann
Group size: Maximum 12 participants
Participation fee: HUF 5,000 / session
YOUTH
Puppet-making and Creative Workshop for ages 10-14
This year, the Youth Group will focus on experimentation: how can we tell stories about ourselves through puppets and objects? What would we like to reveal about ourselves?
When: Wednesdays, 4:30–6:00 PM, starting October 7
Led by: Blanka Hirmann and artists from Budapest Puppet Theatre
Group size: Maximum 12 participants
Participation fee: HUF 5,000 / session
YOUNG ADULTS
Puppet-making and Creative Workshop for ages 14–18
For the youth group, puppetry is a starting point for exploration: together, we experiment with different puppetry techniques, theatrical situations, characters and stories.
When: From 6 October, every Tuesday, 16:30–18:00
Led by: Viktória Végvári and Gergő Pethő
Group size: Maximum 12 participants
Prerequisite: Previous puppetry experience
Participation fee: HUF 5,000 / session
